not-so-updated entry

it's been A month since my last post. one word.. LAZ-eeeeeeeeeeey!

it has been a busy, busy month with work, school and tuition. i've pulled through weeee! i foresee the next month to be even worse bleahh. i know it's me who got myself into this state. at the end of it, let's hope it's all worthwhile *cross fingers*

anyway, today i went for my first AHM. was quite disappointed with my performance. by the 11-12km, my legs were aching so bad that i had to walk & that was the start of the walk-a-bit-run-a-little. at one point in time, i could hardly feel my legs. completed the run in about 3 hours but managed to receive the finisher's medal nonetheless.

point to self: must condition way before the marathon on 2nd dec. this time round, was plagued with the cough illness 2-3 weeks before the run and the weather didn't really help too. thus bad bad condition bleahh.

one thing about the run that i feel it's worth complimenting was that there was sufficient water points which was located every 2km or so. each station was set up by different units and their efforts to cheer the runners on was commendable. i was pretty much entertained by some of them who dressed up as pirates and one unforgettable character was this man with a big tummy in the skin-tight catwoman suit. rather amusing. during the run, there was this woman who carried a silver balloon with the initials "SSBR" and she was spotting army prints tops and bottoms with a jungle cap & camou on too. needless to say, she was the 'headturner' for many. you go lady!!!

as we approach the end, we were welcomed by a crowd in the floating platform. am i glad that the run was over weee!

i think i deserve a pat on my back 'pat'

good job lady *beams*

next up... full marathon!!!

sidenote: my deepest condolences to the family of the runner who collapsed at the end of the run.
