why is it that everyone seems to be going away for holidays? while here i am, stuck, with work and endless work and endless work and more work.. bleahh.

i'm driven mad by my cursed assignment, MRM. i want it dead so bad 'pinch, poke, punch and finally a super-turbo kick to send it flying into the deep india sea..'

i might have been pushing myself too hard. was doing it for the past 3 days. now i'm in a state of daze. even when i'm tired, i can't sleep. after i sleep, i don't even feel rested which explains why my head is floating now..

all right, i do have my fair share of fun. it's usually chill out, chill out, chill out and more chill out accompanied with the hazardous effects of getting intoxicated and munching on too much food.. bleahh

went for a run. no problem with an aching head during the process of it. i feel it keeps me alive and in touch with the real world. running is good. if only i can keep going on, literally.

on the side, i signed up for a 10km run.. wahahaha! that's my first step to reach the stan chart 42km run..

philosophy to self: you have to run a marathon at least once in a lifetime.

that's what i am trying to achieve. urge me on my friends (=

my virgin extraction

0817. i rang up the clinic.

Greeted by a lady who was trying her best to catch her breath, "Good morning, Tan's Clinic.. " heavy breathing "How may i help you?"
"I would like to check with you if there's any available slots for today, anytime before 12pm.."

"I'm afraid we'll quite packed for the day. What's the matter?"

"My wisdom tooth is affecting me. Can you inform me if there is any cancellation?"

"Oh, if that's the case, let me speak with the doctor and see if she will be able to squeeze you in between the slots. I'll call you back later"

After giving her my contacts, I hung up. Unable to fall asleep, I decided to finish up the last episode of Prison Break. Wasn't i glad when my phone rang at 0840.

"Hi Yvonne, I've spoken with the doctor. She say you can come down to the clinic and wait. The doctor will try her best to see to you. However, you have to be really patient."
Immediately, I grabbed my belongings, a book and my laptop and flew down in a cab. I reached there at 0915 and began my excrutiating wait for my turn to see the dentist.

The hour hand ticked by slowly. I am not complaining as I was kept on the edge of my seat with Prison Break. Just as the episode ended, the nurse called out my name. That was 1010.

Once inside, I started apologising to the doctor. I was afraid she will scold me. Reason being, I was forewarned about the tooth since January and have not return for the extraction over the past few months 'oops'. However, my dentist was really nice. She apologised instead for keeping me wait as she understands the agony when the tooth is aching really bad. She is so nice!

Upon settling on the chair, she began examining my mouth. After some light knocks here and there, she concluded that all the headaches that I have been experiencing over the few weeks was the cause of the tooth. The hole has enlarged over the months and it is very near to the nerves which send signals to the brain.

And so the extraction process began. I shut my eyes tightly and refused to look at the anesthetic needle that she was injecting into my gums. I could feel the sting into the flesh 'OUCH' but very quickly the numbness overwhelmed. Within seconds, the left side of my mouth was numbed. I could hardly speak clearly. I was practically fumbling over my words.
Once she made sure that the jab has taken effect, she proceeded with the extraction. No pain at all. Only the pressure of her pulling the tooth out. She said it will be like forcing open a durian, you'll feel the pressure but no pain at all, which was very true. She then placed the gauze for me to bite to stop the bleeding. Then she rattled on with the things to do and to not do. I was hardly concentrating. After a while, she ensured that I was not bleeding profusely and told me I am good to go. That was all done in less than 15 minutes.

I was given 2 packets of gauze, antibiotics, painkillers and a antispetic mouthwash. I made my payment and exited the clinic, feeling more brave than ever. 'smug-look' That was only 1035?

Returned home, took an hour nap before going for class which was follwed by tuition in the evening. I was able to function normally yeah! My classmates were like, "I've never seen anyone who extracted their wisdom tooth and yet still so chatty." oops.

But frankly speaking, I was a little worried in the afternoon coz the bleeding came back. I think it was because I talked too much lol. O well, now all is done and I am so happy weee!

I am sucha braveeeeeeeeeee girl!!! wahahhhaha!
