How significant is insignificant?
Imagine this..
a) You are walking along the street & notice a old woman carrying a red plastic bag, picking used drink cans from the bin. Usual thing that one would do is to brush it aside and think about another matter eg, where should i go, what to have for lunch, when is the bus arriving etc etc. However, that thing that she is doing actually earns her money for her daily expenses.
b) You are tied up with your busy schedule and perhaps miss a call from an old friend. Being occupied with work and thinking 'it is of no urgency', you delay in returning the call or totally forgot about it. However, it may be a friend calling to say 'How are you? I miss you..' which I think, will totally make my day.
c) You are online so often and very used to seeing this friend online but just never take the chance to say hello. What if one day, he/she is not there? It may be a small issue 'just a few days'. However, it continues for the next few weeks? months? I am pretty sure you will get worried & wonder what happen.
Well, what I'm trying to put across is.. how significant is insignificant?
I think your significance have been proved in the most insignificant way.. & I hate it.

random thought
As we grow up, we gradually gain control over things. We begin to take charge of little things like daily happenings around us to the direction of our lives. We control our emotions, feelings & actions in order to attain what we are seeking for. At the end, when we get what we want, are we really happy inside? How many times have we actually lost ourselves in the process of doing so?
I remember when i was young, the little me just went around doing things i like and want to. It may be playing in the rain & getting all drenched while in school uniform. It may be walking barefooted in the middle of the night down Orchard Road. It may be public display of affections, be it with friends, lovers or family. It was the way that I managed to stay oblivious and ignorant of any unwanted attention that makes life good. Life used to be so much more carefree & definitely filled with more laughter. Nowadays, there are so many other factors to take in mind. Especially when one grows up & age comes bogging down, the mindset matures & changes with the expectations of society. The eyes of the onlookers may just bring you to the talking topic of the entire media with the advancement of technology. How scary is that.
With so many considerations & responsibilities, are we actually in, or out of control? I think it's more of the latter.
